I am a director, writer, designer, teacher, and performer based in Southern California. I have directed productions in festivals, parks, blackbox and mainstage theatres, and strangers' backyards. For more information on these projects, visit the Productions page! I am interested in either very new or very old plays - developing a play alongside (or as) the author, or finding entirely new ways to work with an old text, allow me to express the kinds of ideas that matter to me and lend immediacy and roughness to the work.

In addition to directing, I have designed sound for several productions (most recently, More Theatre SB's Ahab's Fable), stage managed (most recently, Mother Can You Hear Me at the 2025 Westmont Fringe Festival), and production assisted (Lit Moon World's 2025 festival) - as well as acting in a multitude of productions, both festival and mainstage. After graduating, I founded Savvy Cat Productions, an OC-based theatre company, and directed our inaugural performance of Peter Quince's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

I am deeply interested in theatre’s ability to transform both the artist and the audience. Stories need a community in order to exist, in the same way that communities need stories in order to thrive. I want to give my audience the freedom to form connections from what they are experiencing to what they have felt in their own lives. In this way, the artist and the audience can draw even closer, to share in the communal act of creation. One of my strengths as a theatre-maker is to foster this half-daydream through image or impression, giving part of the artistic responsibility to the audience.
